Being a giver is never a sin but restricting yourself from given is a huge sin, it is said that God love a cheerful giver but some people prefer to hide everything that belong to others to themselves because of the spirit of greed that have overcome the spirit of given in their heart.

A greedy person is not different from a stingy and selfish person because the do one thing in common which is not helping people who are in need of what they have in surplus. A greedy person prefer to have everything to himself even though those things are not useful to him.
A greedy person prefer to stop people from getting what belongs to them instead of helping them to achieve it because he never want anyone to be successful or more successful than him.
