E-TESTIMONY
I know when you see this “E” before the Testimony a lot of you will be thinking what is the “E” doing there.
We have seen something like e-commerce, e-learning, e-banking, e-book, e-ticket,e-wallet,e-sim, e-mail etc…
But am glad to tell you that all the E’s listed above are different from the E standing before the testimony.
First of all what is Testimony?
Dictionary:
(legal) statements made by a witness in court.
An account of first-hand experience.
In a church service, a personal account, such as of one’s conversion.
Witness; evidence; proof of some fact.
Bible:
The biblical concept of testimony or witness is closely allied with the conventional Old Testament legal sense of testimony given in a court of law. Linguistically, the biblical term principally derives from the Hebrew yaad, ud, anah [h”n’a] and Greek marturein [marturevw] word groups; conceptually, it broadly influences the thought patterns, truth claims, and theology of nearly all of Scripture.
According to Merriam-Webster, testimony is “a solemn declaration usually made by a witness under oath in response to interrogation by a lawyer or authorized public official; firsthand authentication of a fact; an outward sign; a public profession of a religious experience.”
What Does Testimony Mean in Christianity?
“Sharing (or giving) a testimony” in Christianity is telling someone else about your relationship with God. Christian believers would likely define testimony by the public profession of their faith journey and relationship with God.
Testimony can also be define as your own story regardless of how spectacular or ordinary you think it is, a story about God character.
What is the meaning of E-TESTIMONY?
E-TESTIMONY means Everlasting Testimony
because the E before the testimony stand for Everlasting.
What is Everlasting Testimony?
E-testimony(Everlasting Testimony)
A testimony that never fade
Testimony that people never get tired of hearing
A testimony is a story of greatness in someone’s life that people will love to hear again and again
Testimony that people are praying for.
THINGS THAT STOP PEOPLE FROM HAVING E-TESTIMONY
1) Lack of faith: Some people find it very hard to have faith when doing things that are supposed to lead them to having their own testimony, they have forgotten that faith is believing in what you are doing. How is it possible to have testimony when you don’t believe in it
2) Sin: Committing more sins can stop you from having your own everlasting testimony it was written in the Bible that “Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?” No it is not possible. You need to step away from sins if you want to have an everlasting testimony.
3) Lack of relationship with God: How many times do you communicate with God in a day? Is the question I ask people that lament that God have not been good to them. Lack of communication is the same as lack of relationship. Not having a good relationship with God can also stop you from having an everlasting testimony.
4) Laziness in life: Being lazy to do the needful in life can stop someone from have everlasting testimony in life, having testimony is different from having everlasting testimony but some people only have testimony because of that they relent believing that’s enough for them forgetting that there is something bigger than that which is everlasting testimony (testimony that never end).
5) Being ungrateful: How many times do you thank God for the testimonies you’ve had in the past? A lot of people find it very difficult to be grateful to God for the things God has done for them. Finding it hard to show sign of appreciation to God can also stop you from having everlasting testimony.
E-TESTIMONY is a thing God have for everyone on Earth but most people don’t have it because of the things listed above.
Now I believe you all now know the meaning of the E beside the testimony above.
We also have:
